How Long Does It Take To Get A Cyprus Student Visa

This post was most recently updated on January 6th, 2023

When I was applying for Cyprus in March 2019, I was told by my agent that my visa would be issued within a week.

I was such a fool to believe in him.

My classes started on June 18, 2019, and I believed that I would get my visa two months ahead of my intake.

Why did my agent lie to me?
He lied to me so that I could give him the money earlier. After I gave him the money, he started making excuses. One week, two weeks, and then a month. My visa didn’t arrive. I waited for another month. Only then my visa was issued.

Read here in detail about the things your agent tells you that you mustn’t trust without verifying its authenticity.

How long does it take to get a Cyprus student visa? What is the Cyprus student visa processing duration?

It takes somewhere from 2 to 3 months for your Cyprus student visa to get issued. The time period applies after you have submitted all your documents to the Cyprus Embassy or Cyprus Consulate.

In some cases, you can get your visa within a month too. But that is highly unlikely.

If you fail to submit all your prepared documents to the embassy before the designated date, you will have to wait for 3 to 4 months more, and you will be registered for the next intake.

Here in this article, I will guide you about things that you need to do to be ready before the last submission date.

It depends upon which country you are from. You might get all your documents ready within a week, and similarly, it might take you up to 2 months too.

Submission of documents to the Cyprus Embassy / Cyprus Consulate

After you prepare all your documents, you need to bring them to the Cyprus Embassy/Consulate.

They will analyze your documents and verify them.

Sending documents to the college

The verified documents need to be sent to the college by courier services.

If you are applying through an agent, they will do it for you, but if you are doing the processing on your own, you need to send the documents to your college via courier.

It might take from 3 to 7 working days for your documents to reach your college in Cyprus.

Issuance of visa

When the required documents and tuition fee reaches Cyprus, your college then will start the processing.
